Gaunt Francis Architects have a long standing commitment to reducing the impact of their buildings on the environment, and this principle extends to the operation of the practice. To this end, the blend of pragmatic environmental consideration which typifies the approach to design is applied to the running of the firm.
Recognising the importance of reducing carbon emissions, GFA has had the levels of CO2 it produces annually monitored, and has cut the energy used throughout the business as far as possible. Unfortunately, a reduction to zero net energy is not practical for the business at this stage.
Until net zero energy usage can be achieved, Gaunt Francis have worked with The CarbonNeutral ® Company to offset unavoidable emissions that have not been successfully removed to date.
