Helical Bar acquired this 1930’s office and retailbuilding in the knowledge that it required a complete upgrade and modernisation internally and externally.
Gaunt Francis undertook the strip out of the interior, including structural members which were considerably impacting upon office ceiling heights and limiting the reception space. A new chilled beam ceiling and underfloor air distribution system was then introduced to give modern office space, complete with new windows throughout. New leisure tenancies were introduced at ground and lower ground floor and a new reception with new lifts was installed.
The regeneration has totally transformed the perception of the building, which now stands prominently on Regent Street as a successful mixed use redevelopment.
