We identified a site on the southern boundary of Islington with the City of London as being available and desirable for redevelopment. Clan Real Estate, a joint venture between Buccleuch Property and Nativeland, agreed with the sites’ potential and acquired the property.
In close consultation with our client, and within a tight timescale, we produced a contemporary 11 storey residential scheme. The density of the urban fabric within the area drove an exciting saw tooth elevation to provide maximum sunlight to the new apartments whilst preserving privacy from the large office development opposite.
The resulting scheme provides 96 high quality private residential apartments plus on site social housing sensitively incorporated within a striking envelope which balances traditional materials used in modern ways.
