This planned retirement village recently achieved a resolution to grant consent subject to S106. It forms part of a wider masterplan for the Sackville Road site in Hove. The retirement village will stand alongside Build to Rent apartments developed by MODA, therefore creating a unique multi-generational living scheme.

GFA are architects for the £60m Mayfield Hove scheme, which comprises 260 apartments plus communal areas, including shop, restaurant / bar bistro, and village hall in addition to a well-being area with swimming pool and gym. It will have easy access to public transport facilities, local amenities and services. As a result, this scheme will transform this brownfield site in the centre of Hove.

Gaunt Francis Architects Director, Toby Adam, said: “This will be a transformational scheme for this under-utilised site in Hove. Working in partnership with MODA and Brighton and Hove County Council has been a challenging but highly rewarding journey. Therefore, we look forward to the next steps with great excitement”.
